You do not have to be an electro-mechanical engineer or even an accomplished 'do-it-yourselfer', to perform a safe and competent installation. As a rule of thumb, if you can put up a set of shelves, installing an ACORN Stairlift should prove to be a fairly routine affair.
The trick to a trouble-free installation is a little bit of preparation and a methodical, step-by-step approach.
Our easy to follow installation instructions are non-technical, graphically illustrated and written with the absolute novice in mind. Additionally we carry-out all of the more involved preparation at our distribution center, prior to sending the unit to your home. Effectively, all you need to do is unpack the machine, fix it to the staircase (not the wall!) and plug it in. It really is as simple as that.
Don't be put-off by mumbo-jumbo about the installation process being complex, technically challenging and requiring specialist tools and knowledge. That is certainly the case with many competitor products - but not so with the ACORN Superglide. This stairlift has been designed with self-installation in mind and many hundreds of people have installed the stairlift themselves and saved a significant sum of money in the process.
